FPB: Both of my in-laws suffered from Alzheimer’s and Dementia. My husband and I were their primary care givers. One day I thought ‘What if that happens to us?’. I sat down at my laptop and just started writing.
FPB: After I wrote the first draft I showed it to my Husband. He asked if he could audition. I ran the idea by Andrew. We both read for him and he gave it the green light.
AS: They both read for me and they played off each other really well. I thought it was a awesome idea to have a real-life married couple in the roles.
AS: Having known and worked with them before made it smooth, easy and enjoyable experience.
AS: Fred and I totally collaborated. As line producer he kept everything organized and on schedule. When it was time to shoot his scenes he easily moved into actor mode.
FPB: I put 100% of my trust in Andrew knowing he would intrupert my vision onto film.
We set-up and block out the scene and then film it. Then give feedback and direction. Then film it again until everyone is satisfied. It’s a collaborative process to get the combined vision between us and the actors.
100% !!!
Casting Paul in the role of Larry. Honestly, we were a little nervous at first with this being his first film role. But Paul and Fred rehearsed every day leading up to the shoot and Paul hit it out of the park!!!
AS: White leaf productions provided all the equipment needed. Using my Black Magic camera, lighting kit, audio equipment we had more than enough to complete the project smoothly. I also used Adobe Premiere Pro.
FUNDING!!!. In addition to our own investment we have a really great group of supporters.
VERY! It’s great to follow and promote the film festivals we enter and they do the same in return. And we feel it’s important to share our success with our contributors. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to make and share our art.
FPB: Getting to share my passion with my husband.
AS: Getting to work with talented people as well as being able to take the written word and turn it into reality.
FPB: Sitting down in a quiet space and letting my imagination run wild…Sometimes I can’t type fast enough!
No matter what type og relationship you’re in (Straight or LGBTQIA+) you have to deal with the negative and rejoice in the positive. Let love prevail.
After the success of our world-wide multi-awards winning LGBTQ short film “Neighborhood Stranger”, we are submitting "MEMORIES of Love" simultaneously with our other new short film “confessions” in 2024 film festivals.
AS: Larrry: “You’re the only one I know who could kill a cactus!”
FPB: Larry: “It’s the deck”
FPB: Andrew.
AS: Me!!!
